Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race Verses

Geneva - The Chevy lovers, be prepared to welcome the arrival of the Camaro COPO, the current version of the concept being showcased at the Geneva Auto Show 2012. As reported by Worldcarfans (9/3), Chevrolet officially announced the production version is being prepared.



COPO is designed to compete in the arena of NHRA drag racing classes Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. For mass production, it will have a rear-wheel models and is available in five colors, namely Flat Black, Summit White, Victory Red, Silver Ice Metallic, Gray Metallic and Ashen.

In terms of interior, as a sports car comes with a specification of drag, then any feature that is important to model the concept will be removed. But for the model bucket seats, a safety frame or roll bar, shifter competition, and some additional instrumentation is still maintained.



Then, the American muscle will be reinforced with a choice of three engine variants, each with a capacity of 7.0 liter V8 engine with no turbo, 5.3 liter supercharged V8 and 2.0 liter V8s. They are equipped Powerglide automatic transmission designed specifically for drag race.

Chevrolet Camaro COPO will be limited as much as 69 units produced in 2012 and priced at U.S. $ 89 000. For new bookings can be done in early summer in the U.S. or around mid-March.
