Debut VW Beetle Diesel for US Market

Chicago - German car manufacturer, Volkswagen is scheduled to debut its new product, made ​​in 2013 Beetle TDI at the Chicago Auto Show.

A source reported that a series of new Beetle is ready to take over the market in the U.S.. As the name implies, it seems that VW's new car has a new weapon to compete with its competitors, in the form of diesel engines for America.

Volkswagen has confirmed to the source is that the "Beetle" diesel that will be present at the event, but the automaker that has not confirmed any details regarding the vehicle.

Reportedly, the new Beetle will get a new engine VW 2.0 liter TDI, which has been used for several other models, capable of producing up to 140 hp and peak torque of 236 lb-ft. Transmission of the engine may be offered with two choices, either six-speed manual and dual clutch DSG gearbox.

Moreover, it seems that the TDI unit will also be offered on the upcoming convertible Beetle, which will transform the car into an interesting mix between efficiency and coolness.
