Toshiba Excite X10 World's thinnest Tablet


At the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Toshiba released the Excite X10 Tablet measuring 10.1 inches. Japan's Toshiba is claiming the tablet is thinnest and lightest 10 inches tablet in the world has ever released






Tablet which has a thickness of only 7.7 mm, much thinner compared with 8.8 mm iPad2. It weighs only 544.3 grams compared iPad2 who still weighs 612 grams.
Screen Excite x10 using the technology panel in plane switching (IPS). This screen is designed suitable for graphic designers because it has a high resolution 1280 x 800 pixels. Screen Excite X10 is equipped with anti-stain layer, even though Toshiba executives admit that there is no guarantee-screen tablet will stain free.


The Toshiba engineers design using basic materials of magnesium alloy that is lighter than titanium material. However, with the material, Excite X10 gives the impression to be more fragile than iPad2 that looks more sturdy.






Equipped with Micro USB connection port, Micro HDMI ports, audio jacks, and SD card slot.


Components inside are equipped with dual-core processor 1.2 GHz and 1GB RAM. Front camera supports a resolution of 2MP and 5MP camera back.
While Toshiba has not decided whether to use the operating system Android 3.2 Android 4.0 Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich? , Although the device is very feasible when using Android Ice Cream Sandwich.


These tablets would be released onto the market in the first quarter of 2012 with a price of U.S. $ 529.99 (16GB) and U.S. $ 599.99 (32GB).
